50 Before 50 Challenge — Pottery Edition!
This year, I’m saying yes to new adventures, and this one was extra special! My friend Christina and I spent two wonderful days at Crozier’s Pottery with the talented Nivea Torres. From spinning clay to shaping imperfect-but-perfect mugs and bowls, we laughed, learned, and definitely got our hands dirty.
I’m thrilled with how our creations turned out — and even more excited to be checking another experience off my 50 Before 50 list!

🌊 50 Before 50: Dive Against Debris – Fajardo, Puerto Rico
I teamed up with Laurelyn and the incredible crew at Sea Ventures to help organize a powerful Dive Against Debrisevent in the beautiful waters of Fajardo. Together, we removed trash, protected marine life, and turned purpose into action. 💙♻️

On my birthday in Madrid, I finally stood in front of Picasso’s Guernica at the Reina Sofía — a piece I first encountered while studying Spanish in university. Its power struck me then… and seeing it in person was every bit as unforgettable. A moment of history, emotion, and awe all at once.

✨ 50 Before 50: New Ink, New Magic
This one felt written in the stars. I got a new tattoo with Tinta Bruja — a piece inspired by both the ocean and the celestial sky. 🌊🌙 A reminder that I am made of tides and stardust… and I could not be happier with how it turned out.
Spontaneous, meaningful, and absolutely magical — another beautiful addition to this wild, soulful journey before 50.

🔥 50 Before 50: Salvador Molly’s “Great Balls of Fire” Challenge!Talk about turning up the heat! My brother John challenged me to take on Salvador Molly’s legendary Great Balls of Fire food challenge — five cheese fritters drenched in habanero sauce, all under 5 minutes, to earn a spot on the Wall of Fame. And of course, Dan jumped in too.I’m still not sure who actually won… the challenge, the sauce, or the chaos. 😂🔥 But it was hilarious, intense, and absolutely unforgettable.

🖼️ 50 Before 50: Making My First Collage
This was a whole new creative adventure for me. While wandering through an art store in Madrid, I found a beautiful old book that instantly sparked inspiration — and suddenly, collage-making became the next 50 Before 50 experience.
With my friend Christina offering her expertise every step of the way, I dove into the full process: cutting, arranging, gluing, observing, altering, varnishing, matting, and framing… the whole nine yards. It was meditative, messy, surprising, and so satisfying.
I even wrote a piece of prose to accompany it — not quite finished yet, but the seeds are planted. ✨

This one wasn't on my list… but when the chance popped up, my friend Geri and I said YES! 🤠✨
An impromptu mechanical bull ride turned into uncontrollable laughter, zero grace, and one more unforgettable memory added to the journey. Sometimes the best adventures are the unplanned ones.

🎶 50 Before 50: iii Points Festival in Miami!
I made it to iii Points in Miami with my girl Mimi — and wow, my heart is still dancing. 💃🔥
We spent the night lost in lights, beats, and so much joy. Few things in life make me as happy as dancing to good house music, and this festival delivered. We discovered some amazing new DJs and got to vibe with a few longtime favorites. Pure magic, pure movement, pure life.
