About the event

🌕 The Retreat

A Wish That Became a Forest

This gathering began with one woman's wish:

To plant one tree for every year of her life.

Not privately.

Not quietly.

Not symbolically.

But physically.

Hands in soil.

Roots in earth.

What began as a personal celebration became something else.

It asked to be witnessed.

It asked to be shared.

It asked to give something back.

So we gather.

Not to escape life.

Not to reinvent ourselves.

But to honor the years that shaped us

by planting something that will grow long after we leave.

If that stirs something in you — stay.

What This Is

Viva 50 is a women-centered, six-day gathering where 50 trees are physically planted inside Tortuguero National Park.

This is not about turning 50 specifically.

It is about marking a life chapter in a way that gives something back.

The forest is not a metaphor layered on top.

It is the spine.

This is not therapy.

Not luxury.

Not escape.

It is a ritual of reciprocity.

Women gather not to consume an experience,

but to create one.

Where We Gather

Tortuguero is not reached by highway.

It is reached by water.

We travel together by boat, moving through winding jungle canals where the forest leans toward the river and the air feels thick with life.

The mornings begin with birdsong and humidity.

The evenings soften with Caribbean rhythm and warm light.

Here, green is not a color. It is a presence.

La Casona Eco Lodge holds us simply and honestly.

No excess. No spectacle.

Just the essentials:

Open air. Shared meals. Real community.

This is not a luxury resort.

It is immersion.
