Planting 50 Trees: A Collective Act of Giving Back to the Earth and to Future Generations
It began with a spark — a wish on my 50 Before 50 list to plant 50 trees as a living symbol of renewal. That simple dream caught the imagination of my friend Adriana Carballo, a kindred spirit and fellow weaver of magic. Inspired by the intention behind it, she birthed the 50 by 50 Midlife Magic Community — a circle of women daring to make midlife a gateway to greater adventure, not a retreat from it.
When we spoke, the idea unfurled like roots finding water:What if we took this vision further? What if we turned it into an adventure that could awaken radiance, purpose, and joy — not just for us, but for women everywhere?
And so, Viva 50: The Radiant Roots Retreat was born.
Join us on the lush Caribbean coast of Costa Rica for six unforgettable days of connection, joy, and meaning. This journey — the 50 Trees Adventure — is more than a retreat; it’s a collective act of giving back to the Earth and honoring the origin story that inspired it all.
Together, we’ll plant 50 trees in Tortuguero National Park, the birthplace of new beginnings — a living symbol of legacy, renewal, and shared dreams.Each day will weave movement, music, storytelling, and rest — from sunrise yoga and ocean dips to laughter-filled dinners at Bugambilia and dancing under tropical stars.
This is an invitation to live fully, generously, and with wonder. To root deeply, rise boldly, and remember your magic.
Hosted by Rhiannon, whose 50 Before 50 wish sparked the 50 by 50 movement, and Adriana Carballo, founder of the School of Magic and Adventure, this retreat invites you to embody what it means to give back — to the planet, to the next generation, and to yourself.
WHAT’s INCLUDED:
5 nights of accommodation at the local eco lodge.
This hotel has been reserved and blocked for our group. It has 10 rooms in total with different options for accommodation.
The final price might vary slightly depending on how many people stay in one room.

Adriana Carballo
A modern shaman, storyteller, and founder of the 50 by 50 Midlife Magic Community, Adriana invites women to live their next chapter with awe, purpose, and adventure. Through her Moonlit work and the School of Magic and Adventure in Costa Rica, she helps women reconnect with their soul, remember their natural rhythm, and live in harmony with both nature and city life. Born in Costa Rica and now based in Denmark, Adriana embodies the art of saying yes to the adventures that awaken the spirit.
Rhiannon Wynn
Born in Portland, raised in Minnesota, and now rooted in Puerto Rico, Rhiannon has spent two decades exploring the art of embodiment through yoga, bodywork, and breath. An ocean lover and wellness guide, she helps people rekindle their connection with the natural world and remember the wisdom they already carry. This June, she co-facilitates Viva 50: The Radiant Roots Retreat with Adriana in Costa Rica—a celebration of vitality, sisterhood, and soulful adventure.
Ana – Yoga Fortuna
Founder of Yoga Fortuna, Ana is a yoga teacher, healer, and nature lover whose presence radiates harmony and care. From her home sanctuary, she offers yoga, sound healing, reiki, and massage—inviting others to return to balance and presence. Rooted in community and the spirit of pura vida, Ana brings mindfulness, nourishment, and local wisdom to Viva 50, ensuring every offering and moment flows with love and intention.
🎶 Jorge “Mechas” (KADEHO)
A musician, storyteller, and bridge between shadow and light, Jorge “Mechas”—known in Costa Rica’s music scene as KADEHO—reminds us that rhythm is medicine. Inspired by the legend of El Perro de las Sombras, the mystical dog who guides lost souls home, Jorge carries the heartbeat of this adventure. Through music, laughter, and vibration, he brings the spirit of Bugambilia Tortuguero to life, inviting us to dance, sing, and remember who we are.
